Community Feedback Survey
Open, LowPublic

Description

What: 2 to 3 mini-survey asking 3 questions to those who qualify themselves as lubuntu users/fans.

Why: Get insight on the reasons why people choose lubuntu, the language they use to describe it (for future marketing/communications use), and see how we can better educate and address any gaps in understanding users/fans have about the project and its future.

How: Create an online form and blast it out via email, social media, and host on website.

When: Tbd, but have the survey go on for 30 days with weekly reminders on various outlets (give us time on t he last week to see if linux media could give us a shout to reach more potential users of lubuntu.

Who: I can do a first draft of the survey on google forms for starters...not sure if there is a tool we can use in house that would be better. It would be 2-3 questions with 2 to 3 qualifiers of the user (e.g. are you currently using lubuntu, if so, how long? If the person says I haven't used lubuntu in 4 years, then that would help us get better context to the other answers.)

Please consider also privacy as one of the main criteria, when you choose the platform for the survey. A lot of users won't even open a Google link, just because of privacy concerns.

Why not use a poll on our own Discourse instance?

I'll look into it.

I think @apt-ghetto brings up a good point. We will have to be extra vigilant with ANY data collected no matter how trivial it may seem.
