Here's my current question: ...can you even build this thing?

Either way, unassigning from myself so one of our more green packagers can tackle this.

So there's a request for packaging in Debian. agaida has gone so far as to start the packaging process, but hasn't touched it in a while. This is certanly a good start for anyone that wants to take this on. However, they better act quickly or else having it in Eoan is not going to be a possibility.

Debian packaging doesn't build for sure. Trying to lay it over the current Git master doesn't work either. Looks like CMakeLists.txt issues. I tried to poke at it but didn't make any progress.

On the other hand, Git master builds fine. Here's a compiled binary to test out. Let's shake it hard and see if we find any glaring issues.

Not going to lie-but looking at the commits this seems inactive. Alf's Salsa looks good and we can influence off of their packaging-but I'm not sure if it's worth it with it's current activity. We may end up turning ourselves into the upstream maintainers.

So update-still hasn't been untouched and I'm looking at it right now. We probably will end up being maintainers but if we can at least get it working that's progress. I'm working on testing a build right now.

But actually as we look at the commits-I think Alf also maintains Git and Salsa-fair to say they are probably on the same page. Is Debian willing to take sddm-config-editor or is it already there? It looks like it doesn't exist.
